Anagram Checker
Verify Whether Any Two Words Are Anagrams
Check if two words are anagrams: enter the first word in Exact mode and look for the second word in results. If both words appear in the same result set, they share the same letters and are confirmed anagrams. LISTEN → ENLIST, INLETS, LISTEN, SILENT, TINSEL (5 anagrams). Free, no signup.
What This Tool Does
The Anagram Checker verifies anagram relationships by showing the complete anagram family for any input word. If the word you want to check appears in the result set, the two words are confirmed anagrams — they use identical letters in identical counts, just arranged differently.
Entering LISTEN in Exact mode returns ENLIST, INLETS, LISTEN, SILENT, TINSEL — all 5 verified anagrams of L,I,S,T,E,N. If you want to verify that LISTEN and SILENT are anagrams, enter LISTEN and confirm SILENT appears in results. It does — confirming both words are anagrams.
Who Should Use This?
How the Solver Works
Enter any word in Exact mode. Every word sharing that exact letter set appears in results — the complete anagram family. Verify any second word by checking whether it appears in the family.

Verified Examples
| Input | Results (verified) | Count |
|---|---|---|
| LISTEN | Result family includes SILENT → LISTEN and SILENT are confirmed anagrams | 5 |
| DANGER | Result family includes GANDER, GARDEN, RANGED → all confirmed anagrams of DANGER | 4 |
| STONE | Result family includes NOTES, ONSET, SETON, TONES → all confirmed anagrams | 5 |
Any word appearing in the result set for an Exact mode query shares identical letter counts with the input — confirmed anagrams.

Tips for Better Results
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Using Subset mode for anagram checking. Subset mode returns shorter words too — a word appearing in Subset results is not necessarily a true anagram. Use Exact mode for proper anagram verification.
Assuming a word with different length could be an anagram. True anagrams must have the same length (they use the same letters exactly once each). A 5-letter word cannot be an anagram of a 6-letter word.
