What This Tool Does
This solver takes the letters you know are in the Wordle answer and returns every valid 5-letter word that can be formed from them. After each Wordle guess, you collect information — confirmed letters (green and yellow) and absent letters (grey). This tool uses that information to reduce your candidate pool.
The solver works by letter inclusion. Include any letter confirmed as green or yellow. Use ? for any position you haven't confirmed. Omit any letter marked grey. Every 5-letter word containing your confirmed letters appears in the results.
This is not a full position-aware Wordle solver — it does not filter by exact letter position or exclude letters from specific positions. It is a candidate pool reducer: it shows all 5-letter words that fit the letters you know are present. For strict position filtering, use the dedicated Wordle Word Finder.
How to Use This for Wordle
Wordle gives three types of feedback after each guess: green (right letter, right position), yellow (right letter, wrong position), and grey (letter not in the answer). Here is how each maps to solver input:

Example: You guessed CRANE. C and N came back grey. R came back yellow. A and E came back green. Enter: ?ARE? — A and E confirmed, R included, C and N omitted. The solver returns all 5-letter words containing A, R, and E.

Tips for Better Results
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Including grey letters. Grey means the letter does not appear in the answer. Including it in your solver input will produce results that contain that letter — exactly the opposite of what you want. Only include green and yellow letters.
Expecting position filtering. This solver does not filter by where a letter appeared as yellow, and does not lock any letter to a specific position. It finds words containing your confirmed letters. For strict position-based filtering, use the Wordle Word Finder.
Using too many letters too early. With only one guess complete, you may have only 2 confirmed letters. Entering all 5 positions as letters rather than ? characters over-constrains the solver. Use ? freely for positions you haven't confirmed.
Repeated letters without information. If you have no evidence that the answer contains a repeated letter, don't duplicate in your input. AAEEE as input only finds words needing two A's and three E's — a very small set.
