What This Tool Does

The Text Twist Anagram Solver defaults to Exact mode — the most relevant constraint for Text Twist. Exact mode returns only words using all input letters exactly once, which matches Text Twist's highest-point plays. Switch to Subset mode to also see shorter words earning lower point values.

Text Twist gives you 6 shuffled letters and challenges you to form valid words. Longer words score more; using all 6 letters is the goal of each round. The solver finds every valid word at every length — prioritise the 6-letter exact words, then work down to shorter plays if needed.

Who Should Use This?

01
Six-Letter All-Letters Plays
Switch to Exact mode and enter your 6 Text Twist letters. Every result uses all 6 letters exactly once — these are the highest-point plays in each round. LISTEN produces 5 all-letter plays; some letter sets produce only 1 or 2.
02
Shorter Words for Points Accumulation
Switch to Subset mode to see all shorter valid words from your letters. Text Twist awards points for 3-, 4-, and 5-letter words too. Building a complete word list from your letters maximises your total round score.
03
Time Pressure Practice
Use the solver after each round to see which words you missed. Regular practice builds familiarity with productive 6-letter combinations — making you faster at spotting them during timed play.
04
Letter Combination Familiarity
Knowing that LISTEN produces 5 all-letter words (and which they are) means you instantly recognise that combination in Text Twist. Building a library of productive 6-letter families accelerates competitive play.

How the Solver Works

In Exact mode, the solver tests every word in the database against your input letter frequency map. Only words using all 6 input letters exactly once appear. LISTEN returns ENLIST, INLETS, LISTEN, SILENT, TINSEL — all 5 complete. MASTER returns MASTER, REMAST, STREAM, TAMERS — all 4 complete.

DANGER returns 4 all-letter plays: DANGER, GANDER, GARDEN, RANGED. CARET returns 6: CARET, CATER, CRATE, REACT, RECTA, TRACE. STONE returns 5: NOTES, ONSET, SETON, STONE, TONES.

DANGERDANGER, GANDER, GARDEN, RANGED — all 4 all-letter plays (complete)4
CARETCARET, CATER, CRATE, REACT, RECTA, TRACE — all 6 all-letter plays (complete)6

All results use all input letters exactly once — the Text Twist all-letters constraint. These are complete sets — no additional 6-letter anagrams exist for those inputs.

Tips for Better Results

01
CARET Family — 6 All-Letter Plays
CARET/CATER/CRATE/REACT/RECTA/TRACE — six valid words from C,A,R,E,T. If Text Twist gives you these letters, all 6 are valid all-letter plays. This is one of the most productive 5-letter families.
02
Use Subset Mode for Shorter Words
After finding all-letter plays in Exact mode, switch to Subset to see valid 3-, 4-, and 5-letter words. Text Twist awards points for all lengths — the complete word list maximises your round score.
03
Productive 6-Letter Combinations
LISTEN, MASTER, DANGER, STONE, CARET all produce multiple all-letter plays. Recognising these combinations in Text Twist lets you find all-letter answers faster than starting from scratch.
04
Letters Not Forming Any All-Letter Word
If Exact mode returns 0 results, your 6 letters form no valid 6-letter word. In this case, focus entirely on Subset mode to find the best 3–5 letter plays from whatever the letters offer.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Using Subset mode when Exact is needed for all-letter plays. Subset mode shows shorter words too — the all-letter plays may be buried in a long result list. Use Exact mode first to isolate 6-letter plays, then Subset for shorter words.

Not exploring Subset mode for partial-length plays. Text Twist awards points for shorter words too. After finding all-letter plays, switch to Subset to see every 3-, 4-, and 5-letter word — accumulating these points improves your total round score.

Frequently Asked Questions

What mode works best for Text Twist?
Exact mode shows only words using all input letters exactly once — the all-letter plays that earn the most Text Twist points. Use Subset mode to also find shorter plays for additional points.
How many all-letter plays can LISTEN produce?
LISTEN produces 5 verified all-letter plays: ENLIST, INLETS, LISTEN, SILENT, TINSEL — the complete set. All use L,I,S,T,E,N exactly once and score 6pts in Scrabble.
Does Text Twist use a specific word list?
Text Twist uses its own internal word list. The solver uses TWL and Collins Scrabble Words — nearly all Text Twist answers are in this database, but some solver results may not be accepted by Text Twist.
What if my Text Twist letters produce no all-letter word?
Switch to Subset mode and find the best 3-, 4-, and 5-letter words available. Not every 6-letter combination has a valid all-letter word — focus on maximising shorter-word points in those rounds.
What is the CARET all-letter family?
CARET, CATER, CRATE, REACT, RECTA, TRACE — six valid words using C,A,R,E,T exactly once. All are valid plays in Text Twist if the game accepts those words.
Can the solver help me practice Text Twist faster?
Yes — after each round, enter the letters and check which all-letter words you missed. Regular post-game review builds recognition of productive 6-letter combinations.
Is REMAST a valid Text Twist word?
REMAST is a valid Collins Scrabble Word (to provide a new mast for a vessel). It uses M,A,S,T,E,R — same as MASTER, STREAM, TAMERS. One of four all-letter plays from that 6-letter combination.
Does the solver work for Text Twist 2 or other variants?
The solver finds words from any letter set regardless of which Text Twist edition you are playing. All variants based on finding words from a set of shuffled letters are supported.
Can I use ? wildcard in Text Twist?
In Text Twist itself, there are no wildcards. In this solver, ? adds one free letter allowance — useful for exploring which 6-letter words become available if you had one more specific letter.
What is the maximum number of all-letter plays from a 6-letter set?
CARET (6 plays) appears to be among the maximum for common 6-letter combinations. Some letter sets (like AEINRS or SENORA) may produce similar or higher counts. The solver shows the complete family for any input.
