The Quordle Solver works board by board. Quordle shows four 5-letter words simultaneously, each with its own coloured tile feedback. Enter the confirmed letters for each board separately and find all valid 5-letter candidates for each.

Quordle's format requires managing four independent letter-constraint problems at once. The solver handles each board independently — enter the specific confirmed letters from board 1, find candidates, then repeat for boards 2, 3, and 4. Each board has its own colour feedback, so each has its own letter constraints.

Who Should Use This?

Board-by-Board Candidate Finding

Enter confirmed letters from board 1 first. After identifying the board 1 answer, do the same for boards 2, 3, and 4. The solver processes each board independently because each has its own confirmed letter set.

Shared Guesses — High-Coverage Opens

Quordle's first guess applies to all four boards simultaneously. Opening with a high-coverage word like STARE or CRANE reveals information about all four words at once. Plan shared guesses to cover the most common letters.

Wildcard ? for Board-Specific Unknowns

On board 1, you may have 2 confirmed letters and 3 unknowns. Enter those 2 letters plus ??? to see all 5-letter words using those 2 letters plus any 3 additional letters — the full candidate set for that board's constraints.

Quordle Hard Mode Support

Quordle Hard Mode (like Wordle Hard Mode) requires confirmed letters to appear in all subsequent guesses for that board. Subset mode shows only words using your confirmed letters — Hard Mode compatible for each board.

How the Solver Works

Enter confirmed Quordle letters from any board and the solver finds all 5-letter candidates. For a board with R,E confirmed: enter R,E,???, get all 5-letter words using R and E plus any 3 other letters. As more letters are confirmed, the candidate set shrinks rapidly.

STARE provides 8 verified 5-letter candidates: ARETS, RATES, STARE, TARES, TASER, TEARS + more. CRANE provides 2: CRANE, NACRE. Most Quordle boards become uniquely solvable after 4–5 confirmed letters.

Focus solver effort on the Quordle board where you have the most confirmed letters — that board is closest to resolution. Once a board is solved, subsequent guesses can focus on the remaining three.

Start With Cross-Board Coverage Words

STARE (S,T,A,R,E), UNCIL (U,N,C,I,L), and MODBY (M,O,D,B,Y) together cover 15 unique letters across 3 guesses — high coverage across all 4 boards simultaneously.

Board 4 Often Has Fewest Constraints Early

The last board to show meaningful progress usually benefits from using confirmed letters from the other three boards as negative information — letters not in board 4 based on its grey tiles.

Use Exact Mode to Confirm a Specific Answer

When you believe you know a board's answer, enter it in Exact mode to confirm it is a valid word. Entering the suspected word shows its anagram family — if only 1 result appears, the word is valid and unique.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Trying to solve all four boards at once in one solver query. Each Quordle board has its own independent letter constraints. Enter confirmed letters from each board separately — one board at a time.

Applying one board's grey tiles as constraints on another board. Quordle's grey tiles only exclude that letter from the specific board showing the grey. Grey tiles on board 1 do not exclude a letter from boards 2, 3, or 4 unless those boards also show grey for that letter.
