What This Tool Does

The Scrabble Cheat shows every valid Scrabble word your rack tiles can produce, sorted highest-value first. Scores shown are base TWL tile values — the sum of each letter's point value. Double and Triple Word/Letter bonuses depend on your board position and are not calculated here.

For any rack, the highest base-score word appears first. QUARTZ produces QUARTZ (24pts) as the top result. JOCKEY produces JOCKEY (22pts). From a rack of LISTEN tiles, ENLIST, INLETS, LISTEN, SILENT, TINSEL all score 6pts — the 7-letter bingo filter tab reveals whether any bingo exists.

Rack Assessment — Highest Value First

Sort by Scrabble score to see your top play immediately. For racks with Z, Q, J, or X, the top result is often significantly higher than the second-best play. Evaluate the top 3 results before committing to a board position.

Bingo Tab for Rack Analysis

The 7-letter filter tab shows every bingo available from your rack. If any 7-letter word appears, you have a bingo candidate earning the 50-point bonus — compare this against premium-square plays.

Rack Leave Strategy

Note what tiles remain after your planned play (the leave). An S, blank, or balanced vowel-consonant leave sets up strong future turns. A poor leave (Q without U, three vowels) sometimes justifies a slightly lower-scoring play.

Enter ? for each blank tile. The solver includes every word where the blank can provide a needed letter. Blank tiles score 0pts in calculation but dramatically expand the available word set.

How the Solver Works

The solver builds a frequency map from your rack and tests every word in the 74,872-word database. Every word whose letter requirements fit within your rack appears in results, sorted by Scrabble score. Use the length filter tabs to isolate specific play lengths.

QUARTZ returns 9 results: QUARTZ (24pts), QUART (14pts), TZAR (13pts), and 6 shorter results. JOCKEY returns 15: JOCKEY (22pts) at top, then JOYCE (17pts), JOCK (17pts), and others. MASTER returns 101 results across all lengths.

Tips for Better Results

Start With the Score Tab

Sort by Scrabble score before examining the board. Your highest base-score play leads the list — identify it, then evaluate its board position. A top result that cannot reach a premium square may lose to a lower-score word with better placement.

Triple Word Square Calculation

Multiply your base score by 3 for Triple Word placement. QUARTZ (24pts) on a Triple Word = 72pts. This calculation lets you compare the Triple Word play against all other options quickly.

Balance Score with Leave Quality

A 20pt play leaving Q,U,V on your rack may be weaker than an 18pt play leaving S,blank. The solver shows the play options — rack leave assessment is the player's judgment call.

Cross-Check Perpendicular Words

Any letter your play extends parallel to an existing word creates a perpendicular word. Verify perpendicular words are valid before playing — invalid perpendiculars cause the play to be challenged off.
